3D Printed Knitwear - Pringle of Scotland SS 2015
Collaboration with Massimo Nicosia
London, September 2015 - the spring/summer 2015 collection sees Pringle of Scotland's continued collaboration with architect Richard Beckett with a new series of 3d printed fabrics for their ready to wear collection.
Each of the fabrics were digitally designed and made up of over 1000 individual 3d printed geometries that interweave together to create bespoke three dimensional materials. These materials were then seamlessly integrated into the collection using traditional knitwear techniques. Each fabric was designed and engineered to exhibit the required movement, behaviour and aesthetic in order to work on the body and as part of the seasonal collection.
